How docReader works

1. Upload or link your document
Connect docReader to your document management system, CMS, or intranet. Visitors can also submit files directly. Supported via link, iframe embed, or API integration.

2. docReader processes the file
Text is extracted, structured, and passed to the ReadSpeaker TTS engine — preserving headings, lists, tables, and logical reading order.

3. Visitors listen or follow along
A synchronized audio player highlights each sentence as it is read. Listeners can pause, rewind, adjust reading speed, change voice, or download the audio for offline use.

  • docReader supports PDF, DOCX, PPTX, XLSX, ePub, and plain HTML files. It handles multi-page documents and preserves logical reading order, including headings, lists, and tables.

  • No. docReader runs entirely in the browser. Visitors click the listen button and the document is read aloud through the built-in audio player — no app or plugin required.
